Kevin Seitz, MD, is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is interested in critical care outcomes research, particularly in comparative effectiveness and pragmatic trials. His personal goal to bring methods from implementation science upstream to inform how we design and conduct the trials in order to maximize their impact for patients.

Dr. Qian is and Assistant Professor in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the Associate Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at VUMC. He graduated from the University of Delaware, received his MD from New York University School of Medicine, and trained in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt where he also completed his Pulmonary and Critical Fellowship and Master in Applied Clinical Informatics. Dr. Qian’s clinical interests are in intensive care medicine and post-intensive care recovery. His clinical research interests are in empiric antibiotic use in sepsis and his informatics research interests include EHR embedded clinical trials, interruptive alert de-escalation, and prospective validation of machine learning models.
